    Can i travel out of the country after applying my 485 ,EAD and APO . My I 140 was already approved and I applied for 3 year H1B ext based on that petition ( bumped to premium this week ) .
    Any advise

    Requirements first
    Budget second
    then start selecting.
    in the $1000 bracket there's some choice.
    Personally, it's a tough space......, glad I am not making that decision.
    for personal bias reasons, only the 350D or D70/50 are worth looking at.
    Olympus makes nice gear, but in a newer format and has expensive accessories

    Thanks for your list. So it seems we can do it without attorney help. I am not sure what my attorney is doing its been a month since he had all the papers and fee. I am going to try filing myself:mad:

    HELP!!!i'm confuse!i entered here in the US as a tourist visa last year oct 2008.my 1-94 lapsed last april 30, 2009 but i'm still here in the US because i have a pending immigrant petition as a nurse and my lawyer said i could stay until 180 days which will end on oct 2009. I was filed as h1b for non profit organization last sept 1 as a dietitian on premium processing. My employer told me to just wait for my notice of receipt and approval in 15 days.My question is that it will be possible for the USCIS to approve me because technically i am now out of status but i do have until October to stay here because of my 180 days. I need some answers to clear up my mind.

    My lawyer asked for separate checks for each application.. FP is always added to I-485 fees.. But since they issued EAD receipt for you and spouse, that means definitely 2 485s... Guess you need to wait for the receipts to get the missing receipt # or you can call USCIS...

    I'm in your exact same situation. Would you mind letting me know what happened with your A# and misplaced EAD with only the copy of the front side? Did you use the old F-1 OPT A# or leave it blank?

    Hello gurus,
    need little help from you guys. Right now i am on H1b.
    I am about to file my Family based I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131. on all these forms they are asking for A# ( Alien Registration Number).

    I was on F1 visa before. so i have one expired EAD card which i got during my OPT in 2005. this card has a A#.
    so should i put this A# on all forms( I-485,I-130,I-765,I-131) or leave it blank.???

    I believe that A# is like SSN and one person can have only one number. To the best of my knowledge you should use the same A# on all those applications.

    However, I have known people who had more than one A# assigned, but they were then advised to contact USCIS to merge those files. I would think, it would make sense to use the same A#.

    Again, it would be of great help if you can clarify this with an attorney, or someone else on this forum who is more knowledgeable than me.

    our notice date on receipt is Sept 12, 2007....but no FP notice yet!

    How long does it take to get FP notice? one of our fren got receipt later than us but already got FP notice ....


    There are lot of people who are in the same boat. I am July 2nd filer , ND of sept 10 with TSC, No FP yet.

    But for 140, ability to pay type of RFE can and will be answered by company financials etc. It's just that if you are already employed and are getting more than LC proffered wage and can prove that via W2+paystubs.. it makes it simpler even when company doesn't have enough assets or profits.
    But it's not completely a must have,
    More to the point though
    You can count on getting some type of RFE somewhere in the process that will ask you to prove the status.
    Normally W2 and Paystubs are basic stuff that maybe asked even at the time of 485 decision.
    and moreover if he's paying you, why work?!!

    They have a provision for deporting legal (and illegal) immigrants on their first DUI conviction. Seems to me they are now serious about creating an officialy declared permanent underclass in this country. The house Democrats are also singing the same chorus. I just can't believe that these are the same Democrats who we thought will replace the Republican Congress on the Hill and legalize every immigrants in this country. There were very few on this forum who thoght otherwise during 2006-CIR failure in the Republican congress.:mad:

    regd ur qn --> So do you think using EAD gives a person an Immigrant status in turn losing his non-immigrant status?

    485 stage itself is called 'adjustment of status'. so using EAD or AP , takes u out of nonimmigrant status, and brings u into a intermediate status - thats why they write AOS/parolee on i94 if u use AP. . i dont think u become an "immigrant" untill ur 485/gc is approved.
